Path to AppData Gimp folder in Windows (Gimp 2.10)
To find the AppData Gimp folder in Windows, start Windows Command Prompt and run the following command;
cd %APPDATA%\GIMP\2.10
For Gimp version 2.10.xx this equals to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10
Basic operations howto for newbies
Unselect
Shift + Ctrl + A
Scale a selection
Make a selection
Shift + S
Scale the selection using the mouse
Click the selection tool again
Click somewhere in the image to apply the scaling
Ctrl + S to save the change(s)
Remove all guides
In top menu;
Images > Guides > Remove all guides
Move selection with content
Make a selection
Hold Ctrl + Alt
Move the mouse cursor inside the selection
Press left mouse button and drag the selection
Release keys and mouse button
Click somewhere in the image to apply the move
Ctrl + S to save the change(s)
